Lahore Qalandar was not playing well in the first season of PSL 2026. It was hard to win a few matches and got out in the first round from qualifier rounds for the semifinal. And more strength in their being. And strengthened their dreams. Lahore Calendars win only two matches in the 1st edition of HPL 2016.
Lahore Qalandar Second Season:
Lahore calendar came back in the second season with more passion. And they bring their best players and their squad. There were eight matches to play for every team. Lahore Qalandar won only three matches in the second edition of HBL PSL Season 2 2017. They finished their standing in the points table at the bottom. It was another bad season for them. In this season Peshawar ZALMI was the topper team and standing with the higher net run rate on the points table. In this season. Peshawar ZALMI was the winner of PSL Season 2 2017.
Lahore Qalandar Third, Fourth, Fifth, and Six Season:
There were too many mistakes in their squad and in the management. They were lacking to win the matches and qualify for the semifinals in HBL PSL Season 4. They won three matches again. And lost 7 matches. Again, they finished their team on the points table at the bottom. Islamabad United was the winner of HBL PSL season 3 2018.
HBL PSL season 4 was again no Profit for Lahore Qalandar. They played ten matches. And one, only three of them. And finish their team at the points table in the end. Shower ZALMI was the. Number one team in this audition. Although. Quetta gladiator won HBL PSL season 4 2019.
HBL PSL Season 5 was something special for them. They played ten matches and one five matches and finished third in the points table. They were looking hungry to win the season. And therefore, they finally reach the final. The final was held between Lahore Qalandar and Karachi Kings at the National Stadium, Karachi. Lahore Qalandar played badly. While Karachi Kings won the PSL season 5 2020. Babar AZAM was the player of the series for this edition. This edition was something special for them and their fans.
PSL Season was again a dramatic dream for Lahore Qalandar. Although they won five matches out of ten. But couldn't reach the qualifiers. They went back and found their mistakes. And started their own Player development program to bring some decent and hard worker Players in their program.
Lahore Qalandar Won HBL PSL Season 7 2022:
Lahore Qalandar given the chance to their prime bowler SHAHEEN Shah Afridi as a captain in the PSL Season 7. There was a debate, and the other teams were laughing to bring SHAHEEN Shah as a captain. He proves them wrong and finished their team won six games out of 10 games. The final was held between Lahore Qalandar and Multan Sultans. Who was the champion? Multan Sultan fights well till the last ball. But couldn't one the trophy at the end. Lahore Calendar was the champion of HBL PSL Season 7 2022.
Lahore Qalandar Won Again Season 8 2023:
Lahore Qalandar was defending their title in PSL Season 8 2023. They finished at the top of the table after winning seven matches out of 10. They were again on a high note. Again, the final was held between Lahore and Multan Sultan. Lahore colander couldn't perform well in the batting then SHAHEEN Shah came before David Wise. He hit some big sixes out of the ground. And they managed to score above 200. They won the season by just one run in the final over. It was phenomenal for Lahore calendar and for their fans. SHAHEEN Shah was the first captain who won the Trophy at home consistently and defended the title as well. Lahore calendar was the first team who won back-to-back trophies.
Six Games Lost out of Six in a Row:
Lahore Qalandar lost six matches in a row out of 6. Again, SHAHEEN Shah is the captain to lead. Although they were missing Rashid Khan who was injured to participate in an PSL season 9 2024. It is a dramatic start for a team who won back-to-back trophies. The fans are disappointed in this season.
They are still hoping to win all the remaining four matches with the higher run rate and to reach the semifinal stage. Although, they are out of the HBL PSL Season 9 by the margin of 80%.
